Hey there, thanks for asking. I have various ideas to make demonstration materials about biomass and conversion of biomass into energy and fuels:
      1) A physical model of this representation of the biomass parts, based on an animation like this one —>
      2) Build a model stove to show how combustion and other thermal process of biomass occur, to show each of the steps involved and what we know and what we do not know.
      3) Make a sequence of samples from different conversion technologies: to show what biomass looks like after each conversion step, for instance, from wood to what it’s called char (solid fuel), to “bio-oil” (liquid fuel), or “pretreated biomass”, … there are lots of things that I want to show đŸ™‚
      4) All of that supported with posters to understand the good and the bad and the challenges of the bioenergy technologies.

I would first contact the outreach manager within our group to help me make sure my idea was completed. I plan on geting a 3D print of the Irish Energy system. I would use the money to hire a graphic designer and to try print different sections of the current and potential future energy system for public understanding.
