      Yes, I use computers everyday in my PhD. I use computer energy system models to try create different scenarios to investigate what might our energy system look like in the future.

      Yes, my work involves computer simulations so everything I do uses computers. I make computer models of materials which convert sunlight to fuel.
      The calculations I do require a huge amount of computing power… much more than can be provided by a single computer or laptop so from my desktop in my office I can access “supercomputers” in Ireland and Europe.

      Yes. I use numerical computing tools and process design software to simulate chemical reactions, how fast they occur, what certain reactants selectively produce under different conditions, and how materials move and transfer energy inside of reactors.
