I would like the energy system to be as low-carbon as possible. It will be a major challenge for Ireland but it is important to also remember that everyone may not have access to low-carbon technologies. For example, electric cars are expensive right now, also, with heating our homes, my parents home in Tipperary, for example, uses oil heating which has higher emissions to gas for heating our homes but they have no choice as the gas grid does not come near our home. So although I would like it to be low-carbon I believe the challenge will be very big for everyone and our Government to make sure that the different technologies are available to everyone.
