In junior cert science my favorite topic was the energy part of physics. It was the reason I kept physics on to the leaving cert. When picking a degree There was a BSc Energy in UL and I decided to that and the interest just grew really in college then.

When I first learned about different methods of producing and using energy from renewable sources with minimal impact on the environment I was interested straight away.

I’m passionate about nature and the environment, I’m also really into machines, technology, and problem solving. Energy engineering allows me to work on problems that will have a real benefit for the environment. Its complicated, fun, beneficial, and I really enjoy it!
